Admissions Process

Application

To submit an application, click on the Apply button. Our online application is secure and designed to be convenient and user-friendly. By creating a username and password, you will be able to create, edit and review your application before submitting it. You will also have the opportunity to review the application checklist to see if all forms have been received as you go through the admissions process.

If you are reactivating an application or if you are a PHS Faculty or Staff Member, please contact the admissions office for a fee waiver code.
 

Financial Aid Application

If your family is interested in applying for financial aid, please indicate that on your child’s application. All of the steps to complete the financial aid process must be completed by the stated deadlines.
 

Open House/Tour

We encourage all applicants and families to come and visit the school. We host numerous open houses each year on both campuses. To sign up to attend an open house, click the red button.  (Applicants for Grades 1-9 will also have the opportunity to visit during the school day.)

Screening/Assessment/Testing

Screenings are held for applicants applying for Early Years through Kindergarten on select Saturdays in December and January. Assessments for applicants for grades 1-5 are conducted during the student visit day. Standardized testing is required for applicants applying to grades six-nine on select dates in November and December.

Student Visit Day

Applicants for grades 1-5 visit for a school day in their current grade level. Prospective students for grades six and nine visit for a full day in the grade level into which they will be entering. Prospective students for grades seven and eight visit for a school day in their current grade level.

Teacher Recommendations

Recommendations for students applying for the Early Childhood School are not required, but helpful if available. One Teacher Recommendation from the current classroom teacher is required for incoming kindergarten-5th grade applicants.

A math recommendation and an English recommendation from current teachers are required for incoming grades six– nine applicants.

Transcripts/Current School Records

Cumulative permanent records are requested for applicants in grades first – nine. This includes current grades, transcripts for the past two years, standardized testing results, attendance records, disciplinary records and any Special Education and IEP files.

Questionnaire

Parents of applicants for early years through grade five are asked to fill out a parent questionnaire about their children. Applicants for grades six-nine fill out their own student questionnaire.

Applicants in Grades 10-12

Applicants in grades 10-12 are required to submit a current transcript before beginning the admissions process. Please contact Bart Robertson, , to determine if there are any available openings.
