Admissions

Welcome to Pembroke Hill admissions! We are excited to introduce you to our school and to give you plenty of information about our students, our teachers and our programs. The best way to get to know our school is to come see our school in action.  We truly believe in the importance of the personal touch.  Call us at 816-936-1231 to speak with a member of our friendly admissions staff and to schedule a tour.

During your tour, you will learn about the exciting curriculum, small classes (two teachers in each classroom), outstanding teachers, great resource classes such as daily Spanish, lab science, PE, computer, library, art and music!  Students at Pembroke Hill have a wide variety of opportunities in clubs, after-school activities and sports.  Parents will have the opportunity to see our beautiful, state-of-the-art facilities.  PHS offers a welcoming and inviting community where families are true partners with the school.

Van transportation is available from southern Johnson County and from the Northland.

We are currently accepting applications for the 2015-2016 school year.

Meet our Admissions team!

Carolyn Sullivan.jpg

Carolyn Sullivan ’68, assistant head of school and director of admissions and financial aid, manages our admissions staff and heads up the financial aid process.  A 42-year veteran of Pembroke Hill, former first grade teacher and mother to twin sons who graduated here in the Class of 1999, Carolyn knows everything there is to know about our school and is extremely proud of the work the school has accomplished in making PHS accessible to so many families.  She is always available to answer any of your questions.

Bart Robertson.jpg Bart Robertson is easily recognizable by his wireless glasses and tweed sports coats!  He will help you through the admissions process for middle and upper school in his role as assistant director of admissions - Ward Parkway campus. Before joining the admissions staff, Bart spent eight years as a PHS lower school teacher.  His welcoming demeanor will put you and your child at ease the minute you meet him.

Alicia Noonan.jpg
Alicia Noonan ’82 is the friendly voice you will most likely hear on the other end of the phone when you call admissions.  As assistant director of admissions for the Wornall campus, she will coordinate your visit and lead your tour.  She is the mother of three children, two PHS graduates and one PHS junior.  Alicia has served in many roles at PHS including as first grade teacher, but she especially enjoys her current position because it allows her to meet so many interesting families.
Lisa Hibschman.jpg
Lisa Hibschman, admissions records specialist, will make sure we have all of your important information accurately recorded.  She will also be one of the first PHS people who will greet you, always with a smile, as you arrive for an open house.  As the mother of daughters in the middle and upper school, who both began at Pembroke Hill in early years, Lisa is eager to share her experiences with all four divisions with prospective families.
