Here is your Weekend Raider Update for Dec. 11:

Girls Swimming and Diving
The varsity girls swimming and diving team took eighth place at the North Kansas City Invitational on Saturday, Dec. 9. Senior Caroline Salzman took third and fourth place in the 50 and 100 freestyle, respectively. The 200 free relay team of junior Emily Dickey, sophomore Audrey Lu and seniors Julia Rosher and Caroline, secured fourth place. On Friday, Dec. 8, divers Alexandra Copaken (junior) and Tatum Robinson (freshman) placed sixth and seventh, respectively, in their competition. Alexandra's score made the state consideration cut. The team next competes at the Independence Schools Invitational Friday and Saturday, Dec. 15 and 16.

Boys Basketball
The varsity boys basketball team flipped the script on Van Horn High School on Friday, Dec. 8, defeating the Falcons 58-57. The teams played the previous in the Van Horn Tournament, with Van Horn edging the Raiders by two points. The team plays Friday, Dec. 15, at Lincoln College Preparatory Academy.

Wrestling
The varsity wrestling team competed in the Bishop Miege High School tournament Dec. 9. Senior Charlie Fromm finished in first place at 160 pounds, and senior Karthi Murari nabbed second place at 132 pounds. The wrestling team will compete in a holiday wrestling tournament Friday and Saturday, Dec. 15 and 16, and Missouri Valley College.

Girls Basketball
The varsity girls basketball team notched a victory over Lutheran High School of Kansas City, 42-34. The team plays at Lincoln College Preparatory Academy Friday, Dec. 15.
