The Admissions Process
The admission process at Pembroke Hill involves several important steps: making application, attending informational open houses, arranging for teacher recommendations and transcripts to be sent to PHS, completing a questionnaire, having students assessed and an application review by an admissions committee.
PHS's admissions process has been designed to be personal, fair and thorough. During the course of the process, we hope to develop a personal relationship with each applicant and family and help them gain a clear understanding of the educational and extracurricular opportunities at PHS.
We encourage every family to contact the admissions office regarding present and future openings. Traditionally, we have most of our openings in early years, preschool, prekindergarten, kindergarten, sixth and ninth grades. We usually have openings in all grade levels, therefore, please contact the admissions office for information on space availability.
The first step in applying for admissions to PHS is to complete an application and return it to the admissions office with the application fee of $40. Once your application is received, we will send you an admissions checklist
that outlines the admissions process and any applicable deadlines. (Our admissions season begins in September for enrollment the following year.) All forms for admission are available on the
Forms for Admission web page.
The admissions process differs according to the age of the child and the division he or she will enter. For a summary of the admissions steps and deadlines that affect your child, review the admissions checklist for your child’s incoming grade. The checklists are located on the
Forms for Admissions web page. (For more detailed information, please call or e-mail
