Wornall Campus Libraries

McNeely Primary Library (Grades EY-2) & Dickey Intermediate Library (Grades 3-5)

Wornall Campus libraries are spaces for early childhood and lower school students to explore reading options, listen to stories, and have quiet reading time to themselves. Lower school librarians arrange book talks for students by favorite authors.

The library is open Monday – Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Kemper Library

The Kemper Library serves middle and upper school students. Library staff is always available to assist students when researching or browsing books for pleasure reading. The library's collection of books, periodicals, films and databases can be accessed from any computer or mobile device on campus or from home via the library website.

The library is open Monday – Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 4 p.m.

What PHS Students Are Reading - Summer 2019

Upper School

Upper school students read one book as a grade. AP English summer reading assignments for 12th grade are made later in the summer.

Ninth Grade

Middle School

Sixth grade students read two books from the Sixth Grade Summer Reading List.

Seventh and eighth grade students read one book as a grade and choose one book from the Seventh/Eighth Grade Recommended Reading List.

Fifth Grade

Fifth grade students read two of the books from the Summer Reading List and attend a book club at the end of the summer to discuss their reading.
