What grade levels are under the Lower School Athletic Program?
Does PHS have premier or select teams?
No. One principle objective of the Lower School Athletic Program is to give every child who wants to participate the opportunity to do so, promoting participation in recreational sports with an emphasis on skill development. Many PHS students are involved in premier or select sports teams, but those teams are independent of the school.
If I have questions about the Lower School Athletic Program, whom do I contact?
Contact Paula Engetschwiler, director of auxiliary programs.
Coaching Information?
We rely on parent coaches and encourage volunteerism. Athletic teams should welcome all students and guarantee equal playing time to all team members. There are to be no try-outs, and coaching should be positive in nature and be appropriate to recreational sports activities.
If you have a concern about a coach, talk to that person directly. If your concern is not addressed, please feel free to contact Paula Engetschwiler.
