Varsity Head Coach Bio

Scott Hanover has been the head coach of the Raider boys' tennis program for the past four years, leading the team to three consecutive Class 3 state championships during his tenure. With over 30 years of experience in the Kansas City tennis community, Scott has previously served as the director of tennis at the Plaza Tennis Center and is currently the director of outreach and tournaments at the Overland Park Racquet Club. In addition, he serves as the executive director of the Stephanie Waterman Foundation.

"The best players to coach are the ones who are always playing in the now - the point before and the point after do not matter. There's no tennis shot clock. I believe whoever makes the best and most adjustments usually wins."
