Five fourth grade students of Jewish faith spread knowledge about Yom Kippur and Rosh Hashannah during a virtual Zoom presentation with their fellow fourth grade classmates on Monday, Sept. 13.

Fourth grade teacher Seán Riley said with Jewish holidays beginning, parents reached out offering to share their culture with the students. Students shared their personal experiences and created a slideshow. "It was so much more authentic for the students to have this information shared by their peers," Seán said. "We are fortunate to have so many students who could share their Jewish holiday traditions."

Seán thought the presentation went very well. "Our students were very engaged in listening to their peers, and the presenters definitely felt a sense of pride in teaching about their traditions."
