Pembroke Hill believes significant aspects of DEI efforts include educating our community, cultivating cultural humility and leveraging our diversity to become more equitable and inclusive. As part of this endeavor, the school is developing an annual series of educational sessions on anti-hate, anti-bigotry and anti-racism for the school community. These sessions are beginning this spring.

Faculty/Staff
The entire faculty and staff spent the Feb. 12 In-Service Day in sessions presented by Sophics Solutions and the Jewish Community Relations Bureau/AJC. These presentations were powerful and sparked genuine enthusiasm and a sincere desire to continue this work to cultivate a culture free from hate and bigotry while making meaningful changes in practices, events, programs and policies.

Parents
The Jewish Community Relations Bureau/AJC is offering a community parent webinar on Tuesday, April 6, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The topic is Understanding Contemporary Antisemitism. During this session, participants will learn from experts about antisemitism while increasing their understanding of the manifestations of contemporary antisemitism. This is the first in a series of parent-focused forums to provide a safe space for learning and the exchange of ideas about ways in which we can provide an even more equitable and inclusive environment for all.
