Congratulations to lower school spelling bee champion Riya Raj for making it to the Jackson-Clay County Championship Spelling Bee. Riya competed against 62 students in the divisional round on Saturday, Feb. 10, at the Mid-Continent Public Library Woodneath Library Center in Kansas City. She will compete in the championship spelling bee Feb. 24, at 9 a.m., at Woodneath Library Center.
