Debbie Treglia, director of parent programs and special events, has been appointed Pembroke Hill’s new director of alumni relations and special events. Debbie takes over for Lisa Blevins, the long-time director who retired this past summer.
Debbie has been with Pembroke Hill for 13 years - the last eight of which have been in the development office as the director of parent programs and special events. Prior to serving in the development office, Debbie was the administrative assistant in the early childhood school. She holds a bachelor’s degree in organizational management and administration from Ashford University.
Doreen Rice, director of advancement, said, “Debbie approaches her work with her Pembroke Hill peers and volunteers from a position of welcome, joy and gratitude. She appreciates all that volunteers offer Pembroke Hill and celebrates their contributions. She is also organized, hard-working and thorough – essential qualities in her current and in her new position.”
“I am very excited for this new opportunity,” Debbie said, “and I am looking forward to getting to know our alumni of all ages. I’ve had the pleasure of visiting with alumni at annual Reunion Weekends and am touched by their commitment to, and enthusiasm for, the school.”
Debbie will begin her new role on Jan. 1, 2019. At the same time, the school will begin a search for the next director of parent programs. Debbie will continue to work with the Parents Association until her replacement is hired.
