Here is your Weekend Raider Update for April 16, 2018.

Baseball
The varsity baseball team was crowned champions of the South KC Classic tournament Saturday, April 14, at the Urban Youth Academy. The team defeated rival Pleasant Hill in the championship game, 8-4. On their march to the championship, the team defeated Center, 3-2, and Savannah, 9-4. They play Midland Adventist Academy on Tuesday, April 17.

Boys Lacrosse
After several rain and lightning delays, the varsity boys lacrosse team upended Lawrence, 18-5, on Friday, April 13. The team remains undefeated in LAKC league play. The team returns to action Tuesday, April 17, versus Lee's Summit.

Girls Lacrosse
The varsity girls lacrosse team improved to 2-2 on the season with a victory over St. James Academy, 10-7, on Wednesday, April 11. The team takes on Shawnee Mission Wednesday, April 18.

Boys Tennis
The varsity boys tennis team continues to roll! The team notched a commanding victory over Park Hill, 9-0, on Thursday, April 12. The team earlier in the week came back and defeated rival Barstow, 5-4. The team competes Tuesday, April 17, in the Blue Valley Northwest Tournament at the Plaza Tennis Center.

Track and Field
The varsity track and field team competed in the Highway 93 meet at Excelsior Springs on Thursday, April 12. The girls team took third place and the boys team secured fifth place. Freshman Hadley Jetmore took first in the 200 meter and 800 meter races. Junior Daniela Rodriguez-Chavez placed first in the 3200 meter race and the girls 4x400 meter team of Hadley, junior Alexandra Copaken and seniors Bella Barnes and Julia Rosher, captured first place. On the boys side, junior Shahim Shahzad took first place in the 100 meter race. The team competes Friday, April 20, at Excelsior Springs.

Boys Golf
The varsity boys golf team continues to improve as it inches closer to district play. The team shot a 186 versus Grandview and Center on Wednesday, April 11, at Swope Memorial Golf Course. The team returns to the golf course Monday, April 16, versus Rockhurst at Kansas City Country Club.

Girls Soccer
The varsity girls soccer improved its record to 4-3 on the season on Wednesday, April 11, defeating Harrisonville, 4-0. The team competes in the Blue Springs South Tournament this week.
