Here is your Weekend Raider Update for April 23, 2018.

Boys Golf
The varsity boys golf team took second place at the Richmond Invitational, shooting a 319. Sophomore August Hoffman tied for third place, and sophomore Robert Green tied for fifth place. The team competes against St. Pius X Wednesday, April 25, at Hodge Park.

Track And Field
The varsity track and field team competed in Excelsior Springs on Friday, April 20. The boys team took ninth place, and the girls team secured 11th place. Junior Shahim Shahzad placed third in the boys 100-meter race, and senior Yakini Kasimu secured fourth place in the race. On the girls side, freshman Joanne de Pierre captured third place in the girls 100- and 200-meter races. Freshman Mia Randolph collected fourth place in the 400-meter race. Additionally, several members of the team competed in the KU Relays over the weekend. The 4x400 meter team of seniors Bella Barnes and Julia Rosher, freshman Hadley Jetmore and junior Alexandra Copaken snagged 22nd place out of 47 teams. The team competes in Holden on Friday, April 27.

Baseball
The varsity baseball team brought home fifth place in the DeSoto tournament over the weekend. After being upended, 6-1, by Gardner-Edgerton in the first round, the team responded by beating Sumner Academy, 18-3, and winning a hard fought game against Turner, 6-5. The team plays Truman on Monday, April 23.

Boys Lacrosse
The varsity boys lacrosse team welcomed Eureka High School from St. Louis to PHS on Saturday. The team defeated Eureka, 13-7. The team has a busy week, as they play Olathe East at home on Tuesday, April 24, and face off against the only other unbeaten team, Blue Valley, Friday, April 27, at Blue Valley Southwest.

Boys Tennis
The varsity boys tennis team battled in the MICDS Tournament of Champions on Friday and Saturday, April 20-21, in St. Louis. The team placed fifth in the tournament. Senior Garrett Kincaid secured ninth place and freshman Ethan Wolf grabbed 10th place in the singles draw. Junior Logan Stevens and senior Matthew Gernon finished in eighth place, and senior Matthew Berkley and freshman Jimmy Andrews took home 14th place in the doubles draw. The team looks to rebound with matches this week against Blue Valley West (April 23) and at Lee's Summit West (April 25).

Girls Soccer
The varsity girls soccer team look to rebound after a difficult draw at the Blue Springs South tournament last week. The team lost to Blue Springs South, 4-0; were upended by Park Hill South, 4-1; and then lost to the defending Kansas 6A champions Blue Valley West. The team plays Monday, April 23, against Lawrence. The girls soccer team will also host its 10th Annual Donna J. Pritchett Ovarian Cancer Night on Wednesday, April 25, versus Kansas City East.

Girls Lacrosse
The varsity girls lacrosse team suffered a tough loss at the hands of Shawnee Mission, 18-2, on Wednesday, April 18. The team has three games this week: at home versus Olathe (April 23), at St. Thomas Aquinas (April 24), and senior night at home against St. James Academy (April 26). Seniors will be honored at halftime of the game that begins at 6 p.m.
