The varsity boys golf team captured first place in the Missouri Class 3, District 7 championship. Two Pembroke Hill student-athletes were featured on the news last week. These stories and more highlight the Weekend Raider Update for May 6, 2019.

Boys Golf
The varsity boys golf team won the Missouri Class 3, District 7 championship on Monday, April 29, at Mules National Golf Course in Warrensburg. The team shot 307 for the day. 

Individual Placements:

  • Junior August Hoffman - District Champion
  • Freshman Ryan Lee - Third Place
  • Sophomore Eddie Fromm - Fifth place - tie
  • Junior Robert Green - Ninth place - tie
  • Sophomore Grant Beichley - 15th place - tie

The team competes in the Class 3, Sectional 4 tournament Monday, May 5, at Excelsior Springs Golf Course. Seniors will be honored prior to the varsity boys lacrosse game on Tuesday, May 7.

Track and Field
The varsity track and field team competed at the Piper Invitational on Wednesday, May 1. The girls team took fifth place out of 10 teams at the meet. Here are the results from the competition:

Sophomore Jackson Hargroves - Personal Record (1600m and 3200m)
4x100 relay - Third place (Nawfal Malik, Julian Nunez, Chase Routt, Will McKinley)

Additionally, Hadley was featured on KMBC Channel 9 last Tuesday, April 30.

Baseball
The varsity baseball team took on Raymore-Peculiar on Friday, May 3, defeating the Panthers, 16-9. The team honors its seniors on Monday, May 6, after the varsity baseball game against Van Horn. The game starts at 4:30 p.m. Also, senior Marcus Smith was featured on NBC 41 Action News last Tuesday, April 30. Click here to see the story.

Boys Lacrosse
The varsity boys lacrosse team lost to Shawnee Mission East, 14-8, during the inaugural Red Out Game Friday, May 3. The team will celebrate its seniors Tuesday, May 7, prior to the varsity contest versus St. Thomas Aquinas. Photos from the Raider Red Out can be found on the school's Facebook page.

Boys Tennis
The varsity boys tennis team traveled to Columbia over the weekend in the North Central Missouri Duals. The team lost to Columbia Rock Bridge, 9-0, on Friday, May 3, and turned around and lost to cross-state rival John Burroughs, 9-0, on Saturday, May 4. Previously in the week, the Raiders defeated Lee's Summit North, 8-1, on Senior Night and defeated Rockhurst, 5-4. The team begins district play this week. Girls Soccer
The varsity girls soccer team lost to Raymore-Peculiar, 2-1, on Senior Night Thursday, May 2. The team returns to action Tuesday, May 7, at Smithville. Photos from senior night can be found on the school's Facebook page

Girls Lacrosse
The varsity girls lacrosse team finished the season with its first victory on Wednesday, May 1, defeating Lee's Summit, 9-8. The team has completed its season.
