Here is your Weekend Raider Update for May 7, 2018.

Boys Lacrosse
The varsity boys lacrosse team held its annual Senior Night on Friday, May 4. The team secured the top spot in the LAKC tournament with a victory over Blue Valley West, 14-6. The team received a bye in the first round and will either play Friday, May 11, or Saturday, May 12.

Boys Golf
The varsity boys golf team won the district championship last Monday, April 30, with a combined score of 306. Freshman Grant Beichley tied for first place, and freshman Eddie Fromm and sophomore Robert Green tied for third place. The team competes Monday, May 7, at the sectional tournament in Smithville.

Golf seniors were also honored at halftime of the boys lacrosse game on Friday, May 4.

Girls Lacrosse
The varsity girls lacrosse team ended its season with a loss against St. Thomas Aquinas, 10-4, on Saturday, May 5. Congratulations on a great season, ladies!

Baseball
The varsity baseball team traveled to Frontenac, Kan., and defeated a very tough Raiders team, 3-2. The team will play Van Horn Monday, May 7, at 4:30 p.m., at Roper Stadium in Sugar Creek. Senior Night for baseball is Tuesday, May 8, at home versus Summit Christian Academy. Ceremonies will begin prior to the varsity game at 6:30 p.m.

Track and Field
The varsity track and field team competed in the Piper Relays on Wednesday, May 2. The girls team took fourth place, and the boys team placed seventh in the competition. Freshman Hadley Jetmore won the girls 200- and 400-meter races, and the pole vault. Senior Julia Rosher won the 800- and 1600-meter races. Senior Emlen Brown secured third place in the 1600 meter run. The team will compete at districts Saturday, May 12, at Richmond High School.

Track and field seniors will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 8, at halftime of the varsity girls soccer game. The game begins at 6:30 p.m.

Boys Tennis
The varsity boys tennis team held their Senior Night Thursday, May 3, against Lee's Summit West. The team defeated the Titans, 8-1. District play begins for the Raiders on Tuesday, May 8, at 4 p.m., at Owen Tennis Complex.

Girls Soccer
The varsity girls soccer team played to a tie, 1-1, against Platte County on Thursday, May 3. The team plays Lee's Summit West Monday, May 7, at 6:30 p.m., at Stadium Field.

Seniors will be recognized on Senior Night Tuesday, May 8, prior to their game against Smithville. The game begins at 6:30 p.m.
