Football
The varsity football team remained unbeaten (3-0), defeating the Southeast Knights, 21-0. The team plays Bishop Ward in the Homecoming game on Friday, Sept. 14.
Boys Swimming and Diving
The varsity boys swimming and diving team took 12th place (76 points) at the Independence Invitational Saturday, Sept. 8, against some very tough competition. Of the Class 1 teams in the competition, PHS finished second behind Warrensburg. The 200 medley relay team of juniors Jared Cambier and Will Grant, and sophomores Spencer Perin and Nick Trainor, set the school record with a time of 1:51.77. The team competes at Raytown on Wednesday, Sept. 12, against Raytown High School and St. Joseph Central.
Cross Country
The boys and girls cross country team traveled to St. Louis to compete in the Forest Park Cross Country Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 8. Senior Thomas Way led the boys team with a 23rd place finish, while freshman India Williams was the top girls finisher, placing 33rd. Overall, the boys took 12th place in the competition. The girls team did not place. Both teams compete in the Platte County Invitational on Thursday, Sept. 13.
