Here is your Weekend Raider Update for Sept. 17, 2018.

Boys Swimming and Diving Team 
The varsity boys swimming and diving team secured 15th place out of 44 teams at the North Kansas City Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 15.
Sophomore Nick Trainor took fifth place in the 50 freestyle and 10th place in the 100 freestyle, setting a personal best time. The 200 freestyle relay team captured eighth place and swam under the state cut time for the race. For the first time in many years, the school will host a meet at their training facility at the Success Academy at Anderson Tuesday, Sept. 18. 

Girls Tennis
The varsity girls tennis team hosted its annual PHS doubles tournament Saturday, Sept. 15. Despite the heat, the girls took fourth place in the competition. Junior Lynne Li and sophomore Jean Li won the B Flight, and sophomore Randi Hendricks and freshman Adella Castaner placed second in the A Flight. On Friday, Sept. 14, the girls gutted out a 5-4 decision over St. Joseph's Academy of St. Louis. The team competes Monday, Sept. 17, against Park Hill South.

Football
The varsity football team remained unbeaten, defeating Bishop Ward, 44-8, in the homecoming game. The team, (4-0), takes on Lincoln College Preparatory Academy at Interscholastic League Stadium Friday, Sept. 21. The middle school 7/8 team played St. Pius X on Saturday, Sept. 15, and prevailed, 30-0.

Boys Soccer
The varsity boys soccer team traveled to St. Louis to take on Bayless and John Burroughs Friday and Saturday, Sept. 14-15. The team lost both contests, 3-1. The boys try to get back in the win column Monday, Sept. 17, at home against Lincoln Prep.

Field Hockey
The field hockey held their annual Alumnae game Friday, Sept. 14. The team returns to regular action Sunday, Sept. 23, at home against Nerinx Hall.

Volleyball
The varsity volleyball team notched a big victory over Notre Dame de Sion on Thursday, Sept. 13, defeating the Storm, 25-7, 25-20. The team plays St. Joseph Benton at home on Monday, Sept. 17. Additionally, the junior varsity squad traveled to Archie on Saturday, Sept. 15, and won the tournament. 

Girls Golf
The varsity girls golf team plays Monday, Sept. 17, against Sion at Kansas City Country Club.
