Congratulations to lower school P.E. teacher and head varsity boys and girls soccer coach Matthew Pritchett on receiving United Soccer Coaches' High School Coach of Significance Award for the state of Missouri. The award "recognizes members who are coaching for character and using the soccer field to teach life lessons at the high school level." Matt is one of 41 coaches from 40 states and one military base to receive the honor this year. Congratulations, Matthew!

In addition, Matthew led the boys soccer team to a thrilling victory over Rockhurst on penalty kicks, 4-3, on Tuesday, Oct. 6. It was the first time the school has defeated Rockhurst in soccer in 47 years. Congratulations on the victory, Matthew and Raider soccer coaches! The team was interviewed by KMBC Channel 9 on Wednesday, and the story is expected to air next week.
