Eight upper school speech and debate students did an outstanding job competing at the National Speech and Debate Association's national tournament June 16-21, in Dallas.

• Senior Kat Brown finished as a national semifinalist in Congress (House).
• Senior Dasha McDonald was honored as a national semifinalist in Congress (Senate).
• Jancyn Appel ’19 was named a national quarterfinalist in United States Extemporaneous Speaking.
• Zoe Ganter ’19 finished in the top 70 in Informative Speaking.
• Lily Jiang ’19 and Mulan Jiang ’19 went 6-6 in Policy Debate.
• Jackson Letts ’19 competed in International Extemporaneous Speaking.
• Shirom Makkad ’19 contended in Congress (House).
