Middle, Upper School Science Olympiad Teams Excel At Nationals

The Pembroke Hill middle and upper school Science Olympiad teams competed last weekend in the national Science Olympiad competition in Wichita, Kan. The middle school finished in an incredible 16th place out of 60 teams, scoring 452 points. It's the squad's highest placement since 2015. The upper school placed 35th out of 61 teams, a receiving 784 points. It was a remarkable finish for the upper school team, as the group had only three weeks to prepare for the event.

  • Second place - Bridge (Benton Gillette and Rohan Raj)
  • Sixth place - Road Scholar (Nick Chao and Daphne Valenta)
  • Seventh place - Bio Process Lab (Nick Chao and Daniel Zhao)
  • 10th place - Agriculture Science (Daphne Valenta and Sarina Weinman) - trial event
  • 10th place - Anatomy (Nitya Attaluri and Ayan Ghose)
  • 11th place - Crime Busters (Ayan Ghose and Rohan Raj)
  • 11th place - Fast Facts (Sarina Weinman and Mirabelle Willmoth)
  • 12th place - Rocks & Minerals (Mira and Philip Vadaparampil)
  • 13th place - Dynamic Planet (Phillip Vadaparampil and Nathan Zhao)
  • 14th place - Can’t Judge a Powder (Rohan Raj and Mayshin Zweifel)
  • 14th place - Experimental Design (Nitya Attaluri, Mirabelle Vadaparampil and Daphne Valenta)
  • 14th place - Green Generation (Sarina Weinman and Mayshin Zweifel)
  • 15th place - Wheeled Vehicle (Daphne Valenta and Nathan Zhao)
