The middle and upper school Science Olympiad teams are moving on to state! Both teams won their respective regionals, March 5, at William Jewell College. It was the first in-person competition for the middle school in two years. Students from both middle school teams placed in either first and second place in almost every event. The blue team will move on to the state competition.
In addition, utilizing only 12 students, the upper school team placed first in 20 out of 23 events, with students placing third in the other three events. Every single student competed in at least three events, often stepping in to competitions they hadn't previously competed in, to cover for the team.
The state tournament will be held in Springfield on April 8-9.
