Sous Chef Nanette Verdini Enjoys Serving Students At Pembroke Hill

Starting in November 2017, Nanette Verdini came to Pembroke Hill from Rockhurst High School through FLIK, Pembroke Hill’s food service partner. At Rockhurst, her responsibilities included providing high quality food and service on the service lines and assisting with large catering events. In roles previous to Rockhurst, she managed the back of the house at The Phoenix and served as a dietary chef for Success Meals Kansas City.

“Pembroke Hill is a great place to work,” Nanette said. “The children are wonderful to be around and food service manager Joe Kilishek and executive chef Linda Elliott are fantastic. I was looking for a mentor to guide me in the food service business and I found one in Linda.”

Joe said of Nanette, “Nanette is amazing and bright, and has a tremendous passion for children. We are glad to have her at PHS.”
