Stadium Field Dedicated; 100 Years of Field Hockey Celebrated Next Week
Andrew Mouzin

The fields on both the Wornall and Ward Parkway Campus have never been more vibrant, as the new artificial turf has brought a lot of energy and excitement.

The former Stadium Field on the Ward Parkway Campus will be renamed Robert. L. Hicks Field on Friday, Sept. 30, in honor of retired upper school math teacher and head football coach Bob Hicks. A short ceremony will occur at approximately 6:40 p.m. on the field prior to the varsity game against Hogan Prep Academy at 7 p.m.

Additionally, PHS will celebrate 100 years of field hockey at PHS and hold a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Wornall Campus Field on Saturday, Oct. 1, at 1:15 p.m. Field hockey games are scheduled throughout the day, including a varsity contest against Notre Dame de Sion following the ceremony at 1:30 p.m.

Come celebrate with us!
