Ten Seniors Named National Merit Semifinalists; Two Identified As College Board African American Scholars

Congratulations to our 10 seniors who were named National Merit Semifinalists by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. These students represent 9 percent of the 110-member senior class. Approximately 16,000 students have been recognized as Semifinalists. This represents less than 1 percent of high school seniors. Close to 15,000 of these Semifinalists are expected to be named Finalists in February. 

Here are our Semifinalists:

  • Paige Edwards
  • Campbell Nystrom 
  • Robert Read
  • Eli Toney
  • Piper Toney
  • Darwin Torrance

Additionally, two students were identified as College Board National African American Recognition Program Scholars, based on their remarkable academic achievements and outstanding performance on the PSAT and/or AP exams.
