The varsity baseball team notched its first victories of the season. The boys tennis squad went 4-0 on the week, including two victories in Iowa. The varsity girls lacrosse team scored big victories over Notre Dame de Sion and Bishop Miege. The Raider boys golf team upended rival Barstow. The track and field team competed in Blue Springs and Smithville. The varsity girls soccer team played in the St. Thomas Aquinas MoKan tournament. The boys lacrosse team opened its Lacrosse Association of Kansas City (LAKC) season with a victory. Here is your Weekend Raider Update for April 3, 2023.
Baseball
The varsity baseball team notched its first victories of the season. The team defeated Grandview, 5-2, on Friday, March 31. Dustin Greenwood started on the mound for the Raiders and earned the victory. Harry Falk went two for two, driving in four runs. The team stifled Guadalupe Centers on Saturday, winning 15-0. Dimitri Guy homered for the Raiders, and Jack Passan and Rocco Schiavone combined for a no-hitter. The JV team also won, 17-0. The team plays Mid-Buchanan and travels for the Jefferson City tournament this week.
Boys Tennis
The varsity boys tennis team went 4-0 on the week. The team hosted Blue Valley Northwest on Monday, March 27, winning 12-0. The squad faced Kansas City Christian on Thursday, scoring a 7-2 victory. The team then traveled to Iowa to face Waukee and Waukee Northwest on Friday and Saturday, earning 8-1 and 6-3 victories. The Raiders play rival Barstow on Tuesday, April 4.
Girls Lacrosse
The varsity girls lacrosse team opened its Kansas City Metro Girls Lacrosse Association (KCMGLA) season with two victories. The squad defeated Notre Dame de Sion, 11-3, on Monday, March 27, and Bishop Miege, 24-2, on Thursday, March 30. The team hosts Olathe on Wednesday, April 5, and travels to Lee's Summit on Thursday, April 6.
Boys Golf
The varsity boys golf team earned a five shot victory, 163-168, over rival Barstow on Thursday, March 30. Aarnav Gupta and Brody McCrary topped the Raider scoring with dual 39s on the day. Earlier in the week, the team played in the Shawnee Mission East Invitational, placing ninth overall with a team score of 325. The Raiders will play in the Blue Valley Northwest tournament at Nicklaus Club at Lionsgate on Monday, April 3.
Track and Field
The track and field squad competed in Blue Springs and Smithville last week.

Girls Soccer
The varsity girls soccer team placed eighth at the St. Thomas Aquinas tournament last week. The team lost all three of its matches, falling to Park Hill (5-0), Notre Dame de Sion (2-0) and Lee's Summit North (7-1). The team will try and win the KC Classic next week, as the team hosts St. Pius X, Lincoln College Preparatory Academy and St. Viator.
Boys Lacrosse
The varsity boys lacrosse team opened its LAKC season with a victory over Mill Valley, 17-3. Bailey Allard scored four goals and made an assist. Evan Wyatt added three goals and an assist. The team also hosted Owasso (Okla.) yesterday in an afternoon match. The game was a thrilling, double overtime contest, with the Raiders falling 14-13. The team returns to LAKC action this week against Lee's Summit United on Thursday, April 6.
