The varsity football, girls tennis and boys soccer teams began their regular seasons last week. Here is your Weekend Raider Update for Aug. 29, 2022.

Football
The varsity football team lost to rival St. Pius X, 27-0, on Friday, Aug. 26. The team will try and notch its first victory of the season against Christ Preparatory Academy on Friday, Sept. 2, on the Stadium Field. It's also a Gold Out Game for St. Jude.

Girls Tennis
The varsity girls tennis team placed fourth at the Great 8 tournament Friday, Aug. 26, in Columbia. The team travels to Liberty on Tuesday, Aug. 30, and hosts Notre Dame de Sion (Aug. 31) and Lee's Summit West (Sept. 1) this week.

Boys Soccer
The varsity boys soccer team fell to Olathe West in its home opener, 3-1, on Friday, Aug. 26. Senior Aidan Lacy scored the goal for the Raiders. The varsity squad plays at Smithville (Aug. 29) and in Springfield (Sept. 2-3). The JV squad plays in the Barstow Invitational this week.

Volleyball
The volleyball team played in a jamboree last week in Adrian. The team hosts its first games and tournament in the Bellis Athletic Center on Tuesday, Aug. 30, against Nevada and Joplin. It plays at rival St. Pius X on Wednesday, Aug. 31. 

Girls Golf
The girls golf team is competing today, Aug. 29, at the MoKan Tournament at Blue Hills Country Club. The team plays rivals St. Teresa's Academy and Notre Dame de Sion Wednesday, Aug. 31, at Minor Park. The squad also competes at Tiffany Greens on Sept. 1.

Field Hockey
The field hockey team plays its first games of the season on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 3-4, at the Gateway Tournament in St. Louis.

Boys Swimming and Diving
The boys swimming and diving team travels to Missouri Western State University this Tuesday, Aug. 30, for its first meet of the year.
