The varsity football team squared off against rival St. Pius X. The girls tennis team played in the Great Eight tournament in Columbia. Volleyball played in a jamboree. This is your Weekend Raider Update for Aug. 30, 2021.

Football
The varsity football team fell in its home opener Friday, Aug. 27, to rival St. Pius X, 42-7. Senior Quinton Conley scored the lone touchdown for the Raiders. The team will try to notch its first victory of the season against East High School on Friday, Sept. 3, on Stadium Field. The game will be live streamed through the athletics YouTube page.

Girls Tennis
The varsity girls tennis team took six players to the season opening Great Eight tournament last Friday, Aug. 27. The team defeated Capital City High School 9-0, and lost to both Rock Bridge High School, 9-0, and Barstow, 5-0. The team opens its regular season Monday, Aug. 30, at home against Liberty High School.

Volleyball
The varsity volleyball team won both of its jamboree games on Thursday, Aug. 26, in Adrian, Mo. The team defeated Adrian 25-15, 25-21, and Butler 25-11, 25-13. The team plays its first match of the season Tuesday, Aug. 31, at home against Lee's Summit. The game will be live streamed through the athletics YouTube page.
