The varsity boys soccer team notched a victory of Lee's Summit West. The varsity football team dropped its first game of the season. Here is your first Weekend Raider Update of the school year for Aug. 31, 2020.

Boys Soccer
The varsity boys soccer team defeated a very tough Lee's Summit West team, 2-1, on Friday, Aug. 28. Goals were scored by sophomore Aidan Lacy and junior Garrison Hill. The junior varsity team lost 4-0. The varsity team will try and make it two in a row as they host Oak Grove on Thursday, Sept. 3. 

Football
The varsity football team lost to rival St. Pius X in its season opener, 47-24. Senior Innis McLiney and juniors Miles Marshall and Jake Degnan scored touchdowns for the Raiders. Senior Ethan Wolf also kicked a field goal in the game. The team will try and notch its first victory of the season Friday, Sept. 4, as it travels to play Kansas City East High School. The junior varsity team hosts St. Pius today, Aug. 31, at 5 p.m.

Girls Golf
The varsity girls golf team competes today, Aug. 31, at Blue Hills Country Club. The junior varsity team competes at Shiloh Springs Golf Club. 

Girls Tennis
The girls tennis team travels to Liberty today, Aug. 31, for its season opener. 

Volleyball
The varsity volleyball squad opens its season Tuesday, Sept. 1, at home against Kansas City East Christian Academy.
