PHS pole vault state champion Hadley Jetmore took part in the March of the State Champions at the WIN for KC Women's Sports Awards Celebration. The varsity girls basketball team hosted the annual Wornall Night on Friday. The varsity boys basketball team defeated KC East Christian on Thursday. Two Raider weightlifters competed at Basehor-Linwood over the weekend. Here is your Weekend Raider Update for Feb. 10, 2020.

Hadley Jetmore
PHS pole vault state champion Hadley Jetmore took part in the March of the State Champions at the WIN for KC Women's Sports Awards Celebration Friday, Feb. 7.

Girls Basketball
The varsity girls basketball team hosted the annual Wornall Night Friday, Feb. 7, celebrating lower school student-athletes. The team played a hard fought game, ultimately falling, 47-40. The team will celebrate its seniors tonight, Feb. 10, against Summit Christian Academy. Girls basketball seniors and senior dancers will be honored between the JV and varsity games at approximately 6:45 p.m.

Boys Basketball
The varsity boys basketball team notched a victory over Kansas City East Christian Academy, 82-68. The team returns to action Tuesday, Feb. 11, for Varsity Winter Cheerleading Senior Night. Senior cheerleaders will be celebrated at halftime of the varsity contest at around 7:45 p.m.

Weightlifting
Two PHS weightlifters, senior Hannah Fraga and freshman Gavin O'Toole competed in the Basehor-Linwood Bobcat Invitational Saturday, Feb. 8. Gavin placed third overall in the 132 pound weight class, and third place in the 175 pound power clean class. Hannah also took third place in the 150 pound power clean weight class. Great job Raiders!

Wrestling
The varsity wrestling team competed at West Platte last week. Junior John Pallotto placed third at 138 pounds. Sophomore Will Greaves took fourth at 145 pounds. The team competed Tuesday at St. Pius X. Results are forthcoming.

Middle School Results

  • 7th grade girls basketball red team defeated Northland Christian, 22-20, on Feb. 8
  • 6th grade girls red team defeated Brookside Charter, 42 - 2, on Feb. 6
  • 7th grade boys red team beat Frontier, 40-14, on Feb. 6
  • 7th grade girls blue team defeated against Frontier, 15-11, on Feb. 6 
  • 8th grade girls basketball team lost to Brookside Charter, 35-30, on Feb. 6
