The varsity girls swimming and diving team competed in the COMO Invitational. Here is your Weekend Raider Update for Jan. 18, 2022. 

Girls Swimming and Diving
The girls swimming and diving team competed at the COMO Invitational on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 14-15, in Columbia, Mo. The varsity squad earned its highest finish ever at the meet, taking 10th place with 72 points. It scored the second most points of Class 1 schools. The junior varsity team placed 14th at the meet. 

Individual Results

  • Zaira Kearns - 10th place in 50-yard freestyle (30.09 seconds); 12th place in 100-yard freestyle (1:08.99); 12th place in diving
  • Emma Harris - 12th place in 50-yard freestyle (30.46 seconds)
  • Sawyer Simmons - 13th place in diving
  • 200-yard freestyle relay (Reaghan Gaffney, Rhiannon Hockey, Sophia Gotham, Emma Harris)- ninth place (2:08.05)
  • Elena Lazzaretto - 11th place in 200-yard freestyle (1:59.17, ranked top five in state; also broke school record in preliminary swim in 1:58.92); 10th place in 500-yard freestyle (5:22.57 broke school record)
  • Audrey Lambert - seventh place in 200-yard individual medley (ranked second in Class 1); fourth place in 100-yard breaststroke (ranked first in Class 1 and set new school record)
  • 200-yard freestyle relay (Elena Lazzaretto, Keira Gaffney, Audrey Lambert, Remley Grant) - third place (1:41.35, ranked first in Class 1; breaks school record)
