Weekend Raider Update: Nov. 22, 2021

The varsity girls basketball team start the season 1-1 on their trip to St. Louis. The varsity boys basketball team played in the Blood, Sweat and Tears Showcase at Staley High School. Here is your Weekend Raider Update for Nov. 22, 2021.

Girls Basketball
The varsity girls basketball team went 1-1 on its trip to St. Louis on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 19-20. The team lost its first game to Visitation Academy, 55-24 on Friday, then rebounded on Saturday to defeat Villa Duchesne, 49-29. The JV squad won both of its games, pulling out the victory over Visitation 28-27, and defeating Villa Duchesne, 22-16. The teams play their home opener tonight, Nov. 22, against Fort Osage in Phillips Gym. 

Boys Basketball
The varsity boys basketball team played in the Blood, Sweat and Tears Showcase on Saturday, Nov. 20. The team fell to a tough Father Tolton team, 65-52. Junior Devin Conley led the team with 23 points, and fellow junior Ben Miller added 13 points. The boys squad returns to action Monday, Nov. 29, at St. Pius X.

Volleyball
Senior Sarah Lattan played in the MO-KAN large class all-star volleyball game Sunday, Nov. 21, at Avila University. Sarah and fellow senior Paige Edwards will play in the Senior All-State Game on Saturday, Dec. 11, at Lafayette High School in Wildwood, Mo. Junior Sydney Draper was also named to the All-State team and will be recognized on Dec. 11.
