The girls cross country team took third place at the Forest Park Festival in St. Louis. Varsity boys soccer won the KC Classic last week. Volleyball went 1-1 during the week. Here is your Weekend Raider Update for Sept. 13, 2021.

Cross Country
The varsity girls and boys cross country team traveled to St. Louis for the Forest Park Festival on Saturday, Sept. 11. The girls team took home third place in the white division. Freshman Eden Young placed fifth at the meet. The boys team finished in 13th place at the meet. Senior Maxwell Sproull was the top boys finisher, placing 51st.

Boys Soccer
The varsity boys soccer won the KC Classic on Friday, upending St. Michael the Archangel, 2-0. Senior Alex Post scored both goals, and senior Johnathon Dickey completed the shutout. The team earlier in the week defeated Van Horn, 5-2. Goals were scored by junior Aidan Lacy (4) and Alex (1). The team also shutout Lee's Summit West, 1-0. Junior Evan Barnett scored the lone goal, and Johnathon stopped all shots on goal.

Volleyball
The varsity volleyball team went 1-1 during the week. The team notched a victory over Summit Christian Academy, 25-11, 25-22, 25-19, on Thursday, Sept. 9. The team fell to Heritage Christian on Friday, Sept. 10, 25-27, 25-23, 20-25, 22-25. 

Boys Swimming and Diving
The varsity boys swimming and diving took home fifth place at the Belton Invitational Friday and Saturday, Sept. 10-11. Diver Zach Berg led off the team with an impressive third place finish and state consideration score Friday night. On Saturday, junior Andrew Kim broke the school record in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:07:58. Spencer Schmid ’17 set the record in 2016 with a time of 1:08:44. Sophomore Nicholas Frank broke his own record in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:17:60. His previous mark was 5:20:04. The 200-yard freestyle relay team recorded the second best time in the state with a time of 1:33:65. 

Girls Golf
The varsity girls golf team competed against St. Teresa's Academy at Swope Memorial Golf Course on Thursday, Sept. 9. Pembroke Hill shot a 195, three shots short of STA. Senior Campbell Nystrom medaled, shooting a 45. 

Football
The varsity football team defeated F L Schlagle, 35-0, on Friday, Sept. 10. The team is now 2-1 on the season. The team plays at Richmond this Friday, Sept. 17. 

Field Hockey
The field hockey team traveled to Tulsa to play Holland Hall, Casady and Forth Worth Country Day Friday and Saturday, Sep. 10-11. Here are the results from the days:

  • Middle school lost 6-0 to Holland Hall eighth grade team.
     
  • Middle school lost 2-0 to Holland Hall seventh grade team. 
     
  • The C team beat Holland Hall 2-0.

  • Varsity lost 1-0 to Fort Worth Country Day.
     
  • JV beat Holland Hall 5-0.

  • C team lost 2-0 to Casady.
