The varsity boys and girls cross country team competed at St. Pius X. The football team won on Homecoming. Sophomore diver Zach Berg finished sixth at the Columbia, Missouri Invitational. Here is your Weekend Raider Update for Sept. 27, 2021.

Cross Country
The varsity cross country team competed at St. Pius X on Saturday, Sept. 25. The varsity girls team placed second in the meet, with freshman Eden Young earning top honors with a time of 22:27. Senior India Williams (3rd) and junior Erin William (7th) also placed in the top ten. 

The boys team secured fourth place at the meet. Sophomore Andy Greaves with the top finisher for the boys, taking ninth place with a time of 20:02. 

Football
The varsity football team earned a decisive 62-26 victory over University Academy on Friday, Sept. 24.

Boys Swimming and Diving
The varsity boys swimming and diving team took a small squad to compete at the COMO Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 25, placing 24th. Sophomore diver Zach Berg nabbed sixth place and earned a medal. The team earlier in the week defeated St. Pius X in a dual, 110-41. 

Field Hockey
The varsity field hockey team tied Notre Dame de Sion, 1-1, on Wednesday, Sept. 22. Sophomore Caroline Copaken picked up the goal, with the assist to junior Haddie Toney. The JV squad defeated Sion, 2-0. Goals were scored by freshman Blythe Shelley and senior Sophia Standard. Assists went to freshmen Ellesmere Torrance and Eliza Wysong. The shutout was made by senior Tate Angrist.

Girls Golf
The varsity girls golf team won the Odessa tournament on Monday, Sept. 20, with a team score of 355. All five varsity members medaled at the tournament, with junior Ava Rasmus taking first place with a score of 82.

Boys Soccer
The varsity boys soccer team went 1-1 on the week, with a big victory of Barstow, 8-0, and a tough overtime loss to Blue Springs, 2-1.

Girls Tennis
The girls tennis team was just able to get in their senior night match versus Park Hill South last Monday, Sept. 20, winning 5-4. Click here to see photos from the evening. The team also played rival Barstow last Thursday, Sept. 23, falling in a tight match, 4-5.

Volleyball
The varsity volleyball team defeated Notre Dame de Sion in straight sets (25-18, 25-13, 25-19) on Thursday, Sept. 23. Recently, junior Sydney Draper was named a Children's Mercy and 810 Varsity female performer of the week.
